I am out of town today because I am visiting my daughters and have not been able to check my blog today before now. I got a huge surprise when I entered my blog which made my day even better than the magnificent day that I have had so far.
Tomorrow it is exactly one month since I moved from the old blog platform to the new blog where I am now. I have been blogging in Norway for over one year and I feel that it is difficult to break through in this country. For some decades ago a man wrote some rules that he called “janteloven” which practically tells you that you should not believe that you achieve something in life. This law has influenced the Norwegians way of thinking in many aspects. If you try to achieve something it happens frequently that other people will try to pull you down. I have a sense that people don’t like to see other people succeeding in this country. The blog life in Norway is also influenced by the law and to give you an example of this I want to tell you how many readers I have in Norway compared to for example the US. It is expected that people in my own surroundings should pay more attention to me than people from the US where I almost do not know anyone. This is not the case though and I have more than ten times more readers in the US than the country where I live in. This is also the case for other countries compared to Norway. Bloggers in Norway are not recognised and you can often hear people telling bloggers do go and get a real job.
In every country you will find similar kind of people and I want to tell you that it is important to ignore what they are trying to tell you. Most of the time it is only due to jealousy and they do not have a right to judge you and pull you down. Just believe in yourself because you can do anything you want in life.
I don’t generate enough income yet to make blogging a full time job but I dream to make it may primary source of income in the future. I have a dream to work as a coach and if I can inspire other people to make them succeed in life the blogging will be worth doing.
For me 200 followers is more than a number. Behind the 200 followers there are 200 unique individuals that I appreciate very much and I want to thank everyone of you for taking part in my journey. I hope that I can inspire everyone of you in the future.
My blog is primary for the ones reading it and therefor I would love to get some more feedback on topics that you would like me to write about. I will try to make your wish come true as best as I can.
Right now I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight. I will write a post a bit later and I hope that everyone has enjoyed the weekend so far.
