Today’s special guest; John

August 28, 2016

Hi there awesome readers!  It is a new day and  a good day to have a new special guest on my blog today!

Hi  John. Thanks for accepting my invitation to be a guest on my blog today. I appreciate!

Thank you Roberta for requesting a interview. I have been a private person for 58 years. I started using my writer’s name “Coyote poet, later changed to John Coyote and today my real name John Castellenas. I didn’t want to effect my family life with my honest and direct thoughts of my youth.  Today I’m 58 years old and I believe words are great power. We must attempt to make our world better. We need our Hemingway, Kosinski and non-fiction writers to write the truth about life and war.

Q.1) why  did you start to blogg?

I started writing in 6th grade for the school paper. At seven years old, I was reading Jack London and Mark Twain. I expanded to Hemingway, Kosinski and the great writers of my time. Blogging came easy to me because of my love for story and poetry. A new way to share writing and thoughts. The internet allowed us to write, meet talented writers, network and learn.

Q.2) How would you describe your blog to someone that never read it?

I would describe my blog as the soup of life. Many things inside my words and to be shared. I’m a  storyteller who believe. Reading and writing can improve our world.

Q.3) What’s your favourite part of blogging?

Time is my hardest thing to control. I work 52 hours a week. I must squeeze time-in for my writing and reading. Writing and reading are my pleasure and my family. Of course.

Q.4) What is the most difficult things about blogging? And what do you find the easiest?

The most difficult thing about blogging. I believe you must have  hard skin. Don’t allow naysayers and negative people to stop you from writing. Writing is learning. I have 50 plus journals of writing. My initial writing was hard and coarse. Each day is a lesson to be better in anything we want to do,

Q.5) How much time do you spend on blogging?

I spend about 25 hours a week. My days off. I read as much as I can and I try to write.

Q.6) What do you think is the best social media strategy to get more visitors to a blog?

To increase traffic. You must be the traffic too, People want to share their knowledge and they love when someone read and appreciate their work. If I could back in time. I would of become a teacher of writing. I try to motivate people to write and read.

Q.7) Would you encourage other people to make their blog?

I believe your blog should be what you know. I wished I could be a artist or sing a song. I can’t. I have always able to write tale and story without too much effort. I would tell a new blogger. Write, take photos, draw or sing. Do what you enjoy and seek people with same goals and hope.

Q.8) What inspired you to start your blog?

I was inspired by the classics. I wanted to travel, test life and have some fun. Hemingway taught me. A quiet life is a sad life. My goals of a book of stories and poetry is still my final goal.  I hope I can do.

Q.9) How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

When I’m tire. Hard to write and read. I listen to song to open up my mind and thoughts. Some Leonard Cohen or Johhnie Cash make the mind want to read and write.

Q.10) What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?

Hardest thing for me is time. Life keep us too busy. I wish I had more time to finish three active books waiting for final chapters and a editor.

Q.11) Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?

This is hard. I have many blogging I enjoy. Heartafire, elliebelfiglio, Vertige de l’Oiseau and so many more. I love to read about real life, love, family and good tale. Tale and myth are my favorite.

Q.12) What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?

To increase traffic. Be active and be kind. Be friendly and be helpful.

Q.13) What are you doing besides blogging?

I have been in management for almost 40 years. I work retail now. I have worked in food, factories and retail since 1978.

Q.14) Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thank you Roberta for seeking me out and I believe.

Writing and reading is very important. A nation of people lacking proper knowledge of life and their world will fall to fake leaders. I tell the kids. Read, read and read more. Know your world and don’t allow the world to fall without a fight. Write, write and write some more. This is our world. Celebrate each new day and do something you enjoy daily. If you don’t. You will regret you didn’t.
