Everything is new

September 8, 2016

Hello my loves!

Lately there has not been posts of high quality since we have been moving. When there is a lot going on around me I like to focus on those things to be finished with them and tend to spend less time on other things. I apologise for the inconvenience but now I feel that the pieces are coming together.

We have finally moved to Trondheim and we have spent the day to get to know the city and we have bought some stuff for the apartment. Trondheim is a beautiful city which I will tell you all about in the future. Actually we live pretty close to the city but we chose a wrong route to the city and ended up walking 20 minutes longer than we would have if we had better knowledge about the city. When we first came to downtown Trondheim we got some help from locals that were very helpful and friendly. We went to a hotel and a very friendly man gave us a map which we used as a guide through the city.

I have an idea about my process of getting to know the city and that is that I will make a series here on my blog which I will call “getting to know Trondheim” where I will take small video shots when I am walking around the city. This is a good opportunity for me to get to know my new city and for you guys to know a new place.

Okay.. Back to my first day in Trondheim. After having walked around for some hours we went on our way home. Only 5 minutes from centrum there is a place called Solsiden that we stopped at and ordered a beer and a glass of wine. Johan ordered Dahls which is the local beer whilst I chose to support Italy by ordering an Italian wine. I will support the locals more in the future haha. Solsiden is just incredible and it reminds me a little bit about Aker Brygge for those of you who have visited Oslo. There were nice restaurants close to the sea and the crew were so friendly to us.

I do not want to hurt anyones feelings but I must say that the locals are more friendly than the people from Stavanger. They seem more openminded and they are easier to get in touch with. This is our first impression at least.

I will spend the evening putting all the new decorations in the new apartment and I will share the result with you guys later.

Have an amazing time!

Each time we moved I spent time just walking around and fining more about the city than could be learned from driving to and from. And now that I have begun walking again I am finding much to see and learn about this new suburb in which I’m living.
Look forward to learning more about your new city.
