Our first weekend in Trondheim

September 10, 2016

Hello awesome readers! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far. We are enjoying it and getting to know our new hometown more and more each day. The weekend started with an evening with my daughter where we ate tacos and watched some television together. It was a very nice evening and I must say that I enjoy living in the same city as her.

Today me and Johan went to Trondheim to experience more of the city. Johan wanted to watch the big game, City vs United, on a pub and a friend of us recommended to go at Three Lions Pub which is actually the most popular one in the town. However, when we arrived it was completely full and we had to look for another pub to watch the game at. We found a nice pub that we can recommend and the name is Lille London which means Little London. It was very full there as well with 3 floors but we managed to find a spot thanks to a very friendly local that you can see on the picture below.

In Norway at least in the biggest cities it is common to watch football matches at a pub. It is a very good atmosphere at the pub and it is actually better than watching the game at home. At the pub you have the chance to meet new people as well which is great for us since we have moved to a new city.

The game was very exiting and it had everything that a derby should have. I must say that I am not super interested in football but I do like to watch the classics like the Manchester derby. The atmosphere is great and you can feel the tensity in the air which I like. We have still not found a favourite football team but we know for sure that it will not be Manchester United haha.

As a girl I prefer a glass of wine but I must admit that the local beer is really good. If you are in Trondheim sometime you have to try Dahls. We also had some incredibly good nachos but we forgot to take a picture because the taste was so good. Afterwards, we just went home.

Tomorrow I am travelling to Aalesund to visit my youngest daughter. I am going in a plane and therefor I have to take the buss to the airport. We did not know where the buss stop is and therefor we went for a walk to find it. It is actually only 10 minutes walking from our home. I must say that we have found a really good apartment which is close to everything that we need. It has been a rainy day in Trondheim today but thank God for the one that invented the umbrella 😀

Hugs ♥

It looks like a lot of fun and a nice atmosphere. I’m interested in how you ended up moving from Brazil to Norway. It sounds like quite an unusual relocation as these things go :).
