The Reality is Harsh

October 20, 2016

There are so many blogs out there and so many claiming that they know the best way to success. There are also so many services that you can have on your blog and everyone promise you that you will earn money. It is difficult to pick and it can seem like a jungle sometimes.

You have probably heard the histories of success where bloggers tell you about how they succeeded and they are so eager to tell you where the clausal is that participate on their course that costs a lot of money. The fact is that everyone will not succeed. It is a little bit like all the soccer players in the world dreaming to become Lionel Messi but we all know that the majority of them become ordinary employees working 9-5. You probably ask yourself where I am going with this and if you want to know you can sign up on my course on the link HERE.. haha just kidding there is no course since I want to tell you that there is no perfect way to success in blogging. Some Guru cannot just tell you some steps on some fabulous course and then you become billionaire the next day.

Building a blog takes time and not everyone will succeed. Not everyone will make blogging their job since they may lack skills to build one. Johan and I both know people that have a good salary from their blogging activity but they have chosen different strategy to succeed. Therefor I want to share this post with you where I wanted to tell you that a perfect recipe for succeeding doesn’t exist. You must have some skills and try out different things in order to find out what suits you best. One very common tool is affiliate where you get a percentage of every acquisition made via the link on your page. To make good money with affiliate you need to have a huge audience. If you are interested to read more about it you can do so HERE.

If you are lucky and write something that a newspaper notices you can go viral and become famous. But that is a very unrealistic way… but it happens off course…

The next thing is building a network. You never know when the person next to you can become a resource for you or know someone that can help you. I am focusing heavily on networking since I think it helps in my situation.

Finally, building a blog is like building a business and selling your business idea is a great way to make others interested in what you are providing. This can also be a great way in getting sponsors and partners where you can write them a free commercial the first time and then start a partnership where you can earn money in the future. I believe this can be an effective way but it requires effort and time. This one suits quite well with the one mentioned above since having a huge network will help you in this case.

Well, there are a bunch of other things you can do in order to try to earn some income. Like I said there are many ways that can make you succeed and you have to try out and see which suits you best.

If you are looking at the economic prospects of blogging, then I suggest you should start participating in ‘Regional Blogging Meets’ and try to be a ‘Guest blogger’ for an established blogger (Content has to be domain specific -Travel, Food, Literature, Culture, Fashion, etc.) All said, the most important point is to create ‘solid content’ to attract readers who can interact on the topic. And yes, it does take time and patience, it won’t take off from day one.
    Wish you luck!

This was very interesting, and what you say is true, everyone’s strategy will be unique according to what they have to offer.

I ‘m grateful for all tips. I don’t think I will make any money blogging but of course I want people to read what I write.

Interesting post. It certainly takes time to write a blog ~ many hours for each post and we all certainly like to be read. It has taken us a long time to build up a small but loyal following. I guess at least bloggers do seem to support each other by commenting and giving feedback which is so valued.

You make valid points… A lot of bloggers are so eager to start blogging advising sites as if there is one formula to make it. Yet we all have our individual paths, and different skills. Though we all blog, we have a different audience and strengths. Thank you for your post…
