Stats update

December 3, 2016

Happy weekend! 😀

Today has been a great day where I went to my first interview in Trondheim. My mailbox has gone totally crazy the last days where I have gotten many mails regarding participating on interviews and I find it so exiting. On Monday I have a new interview and I cannot wait! The company that interviewed me today is very interested in my services but I told them that I had to consider their position since I want to find out what the other companies can offer me before accepting a contract.

However, that is not what I want to talk about today. As you probably have noticed, the last few months I have not spent so much time on the blog since I have prioritised getting a job since that is what will pay my bills but believe me guys you are always in my thoughts.

Today I want to show you my stats and give you a picture of what happens when you don’t use a lot of time on blogging.

As you see on the picture below I started blogging in May and it has now gone 6 months since I first became a member here on WordPress. It has gone almost half year. OMG!! can you believe it?! In the beginning I used almost the whole day and I had so much time to spend on the blog. I had about 500-1000 readers everyday but it was very time consuming to keep the readers. I found out that I wanted to build a network in a slower fashion because I cannot sit in front of my computer the whole  day when the blog is not paying my bills yet. As you can see November has been slow and my stats have fallen drastically. However, this doesn’t scare me at all since growing too fast is not healthy either. I am seeing blogging as a business and in every business it takes time to build something. That is why I will build my blog slowly but stable and with a solid foundation instead of hurrying.

I just wanted to update you guys that I will only blog once a day. In weekends I hope I will find good topics that I can reblog. As you probably have noticed I only blog during the evening here in Norway since that is the only time I have the opportunity to sit down and blog.

I wish you guys a lovely weekend.

Much love. <3

    Hello Roberta

Great to see your blog go from strength to strength. I myself am a new blogger, 2 months into this whole blogging business and got some 2,000 followers. Each one means like a gem in my crown. I was really hoping if you and me could make an acquaintance and do one guest post on each other’s blog. I look up at you as a source of inspiration, but if you keep a hand on my back, you will become the source of my encouragement as well. I know a person like you, who tries to reply each comment she gets will certainly get to see my comment as well. I can understand how busy you must be dear. But it would be an honour if you visit my blog and deem it worthy of a guest post and allow me to write for your blog.

    Warm Regards
    Sakhi

Thank you so much dear. Phew ! It was a real tough job to bring my blog to 2,000 followers. But I loved the journey, it made my heart soar to see it get good response. It sure took lot of hard work and persistent, no doubt u know that as you have broken several records yourself. My goals for blogging are to let my voice and my thoughts reach people. I like to read new content, good quality content. I have another goal in mind, that is to publish a book some day, currently I am working hard on the first draft, it’s in initial stages though. I have my fingers crossed. I am looking for a post in which you can tell people the importance of quality over quantity, where you can tell them that how much pleasure it gives you to write, irrespective of the number of likes. That is just my suggestion. You can write anything you wish for. Thank you for allowing me to write for your blog. I have a special write up tucked away, let me mail it to you dear. Thank you once again for responding with such humility. Keep smiling ! 😊

Great news about the interviews and love the fact your keeping your options open. Don’t jump into a job too quickly, make sure it’s right for you. ❤️. Really pleased your going to blog daily too because I think we will begin to see the real you 🙂

All you have to do is build it and they will come. 🙂
    You’re doing great.
Much luck on Monday’s interview. <3

Good for you–you have a lot of followers! I used to blog daily when I first started. This is not a business for me, so I blog 2x per week with a couple of reblogs promoting writers and authors. I focused my attention on writing eBooks using my blog as a platform for writing, photography and for leisure education. I do write some sponsored posts for which I get paid which has led to more paying gigs. Good luck!

Thanks! I just have my blog as a hobby now, but I take it very seriously 🙂
Sponsored posts are my goal when the time is right 🙂

I don’t blame you. When I first started two years ago I did a similar fashion, not quite to the levels of success that you had. But it was all day time consuming to maintain my readership! Then I had my second daughter, and time was lost to blog much less 24 hour a day promoting. So now I have decided to just take it easy, try to finish my book, which was my original intent in the first place, blog a few regularly scheduled posts a week, and read some blogs during nap times. 🙂 Thanks for reminding us just how time consuming it is to be popular. 😉
