The last meal of 2016

January 1, 2017

Happy new year people! I hope you had a spectacular start on the new year and that you have as high hopes as I have. It was really exiting to have the first New Year’s celebration in our new home town.

We are very proud of that we managed to prepare the turkey since it was our first time and we were really exited about how the result would turn out. The evening was very nice where we ate together, had some glasses and of course some champagne as well to celebrate the last day in 2016. It is also nice to get new connections in our new home town. I knew Anja from before but I had not seen here for 5 years and it was nice to reconnect again while Eirik is a colleague of Johan that I have had the pleasure of getting to know a little bit more.

After the dinner we chatted for a while and I had some things to catch with Anja after all these years and it was quite nice to see her again. The nightclubs in Trondheim close 1 hour before Stavanger which is quite unusual for us and the night went very fast compared to what we are used to. We had to do everything one hour before what we used to do in Stavanger. This year we chose to not to see the fireworks because of the cold and windy weather. However, we went to a club where we could have some drinks and of course dance ourselves into the new year.

I wish that I have had more pictures to show you but when I am spending time with people I like to give them my attention. I will try to improve on this so that I will be able to have more pictures in my posts.

Anja had to leave a bit earlier since she had to work today and I had to keep an eye on the boys haha. The night was excellent with a lot of happy people outside having fun and enjoying the new year. In the end of the night I met a Brazilian girl that was our cab driver and it was very nice to end the evening speaking my own language.

So, that was our New Year’s Eve. 🙂
