The look of the day

January 12, 2017

I believe I am like the most women in the world when it comes to the need for new clothes.  I was worse before when I was sort of a shopaholic but today I have learned to buy less and appreciate what I already have. As the ages are passing by the taste of the clothes is changing as well. I am dressing myself with a youth spirit while also taking care of not dressing too wildly in order to act as a role model for my daughter.

I feel that I have grown up in the sense that I don’t find the youth style sexy but rather the more sophisticated one. Maybe this is just because I am becoming more and more adult haha. However, I don’t think that I ever will become a real adult since age for me is only a number.

On Tuesday Johan and I went to buy a little bit clothes since we could not take so much clothes with us when we moved to Trondheim. Therefor, we had to go and add some to our collections in the closet. In the business that I am in there is no need for dressing elegant but I have a need for doing so because I like to look professional when I am at work.

It was really nice to wear something new and feel fresh and elegant. The skirt and the blazer are nice combinations and it is not too much while still giving an elegant touch to the outfit. It suits for work and a night out with some friends.

Black and white is always elegant and I must say that it is my favourite colours and that you will definitely find a lot of it in my wardrobe. The skirt gives a very elegant and feminine touch and with some long boots you will definitely look hot in the winter time.

… and your post reminds me that a few years ago, I really wanted to go from the “mom in jeans and a T-shirt” look to something more sophisticated … and after putting some effort and attention into changing the look of my wardrobe, I feel more alive and engaged than I was before!
