Everyone has a dream that we someday want to fulfill. Our dream that is that which keeps us awake late at night doing our office or school. With the absence of this dream, we would rather sleep rather than wasting energy on a work report or a new project. Our dream is also that which motivates us to wake up early in the morning. It is what keeps us busy all day long.
Well, basically, our dreams run our lives. It all depends on what kind of dream we have. Having a dream doesn’t only refer to becoming rich. A poor person can dream of being well-off someday, but a rich person? Who knows? Maybe he’s dreaming of being together again with his family. Maybe being rich has taken tons of his time, and now he just yearns to feel the warmth of a home again. Well, it can happen. But the kind of dream you have doesn’t matter. What’s more important is how long you’re driven to commit to your dreams. If you’re someone who can work at any time of the day just so you can accomplish your goal, and then wake up the next day and feel like you’re not interested in the dream anymore, then you can definitely use some of my motivation tips:
Know your dream
You have to find out what your dream is. It shouldn’t be something that you just copied from your best friend. It should have come from you. It should be something that you feel passionate about. There has to be a connection between you and the dream. It should feel like a yearning to connect with your best friend. Imagine knowing your best friend for so long and realizing that he’s transferring to another country soon. The two of you part ways, but you still keep in touch. Nothing changes. You’re happy as you do your best to be together again. That’s what’s it’s like to pursue a passion, and that’s what you should do, but this can only happen if you love what you do.
Find out why you have this dream
Ask yourself why you’re so eager to get through with this dream. Why is it so important? Why should you be a doctor when you can be a lawyer instead? Why should you be a writer when you can be a publisher instead?
Why am I making you ask these absurd questions? Well, let me explain. Okay, good you know what your dream is, but if you really want that dream to become a reality, then you need to know the deeper reason why you want it in the first place. You have to have that sort of vision that you want to happen as soon as that dream becomes a reality. For example: if you dream to be a lawyer someday, then it’s probably because you want to help sick people. If you want to be a journalist, then perhaps it’s because you want your voice to be heard. Well, those are just examples. Don’t let me speak for you. You have to speak for yourself. Figure it out on your own.
Identify the things that inspire you and those that put you down
Taking the first step is important but it’s also important to keep on going. Some people are only good for one moment, then after that when things are not going their way, they give up. Don’t be that person. Strive to always be motivated, and to do that you have to know the things that keep you on track and the things that put you off so you know what to avoid when working on your goals.
