The summer finally arrived in Trondheim. We started to believe that the summer would never come this year and we were sort of settling for that. It is important to stay positive and not let the weather affect you since there are many fun things to do despite having bad weather. However, I must say that I was thrilled when the summer came. The kind of weather that we have had the last couple of days do something with our mind. It is the best energiser that there is which helps when the autumn and winter come.
On Saturday, Johan and I went for a picnic in a park close to where we live. We wanted to have a barbecue and went to the supermarket to buy meat and potato salad. The surroundings were just lovely and I enjoyed watching people having fun in the lovely sunny day. People are so relaxed and in such better mood in Norway on days like these. Right after we were finished eating, my daughter called me and she wanted to join us. She has a friend visiting her which she brought with her.
We lost track of time and ended up spending the whole day in the park. Time flies when the weather is as amazing as yesterday while enjoying some fruit and beverages. When we came home we relaxed for a little bit on the sofa. The sun is amazing, but spending the whole day in the sun makes us a bit sleepy as well. The day was very lovely and will be remembered for a long time. The only problem was that Johan does not have the same skin as I and he got really sun burned. I am very lucky to have darker skin that can stand the sun much better than the light skin that Norwegians like Johan have. However, the red skin will eventually turn to brown and I guess he has to comfort himself with that haha.
I feel relaxed after the weekend and ready to start on a new week.
Today Johan could not sit in the sun because he had to care of his sun burned skin. He and Viktor ended up sitting in the shadow and making a training program for Johan while I was tanning myself in the sun. When I first came to Norway I was very surprised to see the Norwegians crazy for the sun, but now I must say that I am one of them. I used to take the sun for granted in Brazil, but now I enjoy every sunny day that we have. We have very few days of summer in Norway. There are four seasons in Norway but I feel that we have only three since the summer is very limited.
Johan is very motivated to start on his new training program next week. Viktor know many things about training and it was very convenient for Johan to get knowledge before starting. He got many tips on how to start his new program and I cannot say that I dislike the idea of Johan attending the gym haha.
