There is a lot of things happening today and it is really exiting. I cannot remember the last time that we had so much to do in one day. However, today I want to present you one of the first bloggers that I connected with a few months back. I must say that I like how honest he is and I like the fact that he is very fun. So I am honoured to have Jason as a guest today. Lets’s get to know him better. Are you ready? 😀
Q.1) Hi Jasaon . Thanks you for accepting my invitation to be a guest on my blog today. It is a pleasure to have you here today! What made you want to start blogging?
I started blogging as a hobby because I was beginning a nightshift and needed something to pass the time. My mother is a blogger and a writer, so she encouraged me.
Q.2) How would you describe your blog to someone that never read it?
A hot mess.
Q.3) What’s your favorite part of blogging?
My favorite part about blogging is making new connections. I view my blogging as separate from my “writing,” and my blogging has always been about networking and finding new connections in the world.
Q.4) What is the most difficult thing about blogging? And what do you find the easiest?
The most difficult thing about blogging is blogging alone and trying to run a website by yourself. It is a lot of work and that work only increases as time goes on. The easiest part for me is creating content. Now whether you consider my content “good” is a whole different story.
Q.5) How much time do you spend on blogging?
I don’t count minutes or hours. But a lot.
Q.6) What do you think is the best social media strategy to get more visitors to a blog?
Go and meet people on their blogs first. If you visit they will come.
Q.7) Would you encourage other people to make their blog?
I encourage anyone to blog. It is a great release and way to pass time.
Q.8) How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
I never allow myself to finally delete my website. That is how I motivate myself to keep going.
Q.9) What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
I have had angry emails, phone calls… etc. I have had the authorities called on me. Those were definite challenges.
Q.10) Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?
I have many favorites and the list is long. I enjoy everything people have to offer to the pot we share.
Q.11) What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
Interaction and creating a presence is an online must.
Q.12) What are you doing besides blogging?I
I work a 40 hour a week day job and have two young kids with my wife. My life is never slow.
.13) Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
Blogging is a hobby that I take seriously. I don’t waste my time doing things half assed. One day it may not be a hobby… who knows.
14. A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog?
I have no tips, but I know anything is possible. The problem is no one wants to work hard for things these days. They want everything handed to them. Fame and fortune are rarely given out freely.
15. Is there anything else you would like to add?
Blogging is. That is the way I view blogging. Everything can work and nothing can work. We make our own strategies according to our lifestyles and personalities. Just find what works for you and feel free to visit me on my self-hosted blog or my WordPress blog. Cheers. -OM
