How do one start a Guest Post?  Something I have never done before!
OK, maybe one should start at the very beginning…..

Roberta, I cannot thank you enough for this enormous and absolutely fantastic opportunity and honor to participate and share space on your prestigious blog.  I have been so fortunately to get to know you through your posts and meet many other bloggers, which would not have been possible if not for you.

Hi, my name is Esmé Slabbert.

I am originally from South Africa, and our family now reside in Vancouver, BC, Canada for the past ± 20 years.
I am a Mother to our Daughter and Son.  They both have two kiddies, thus I am also a Grandmother to 4 wonderful and loving grandchildren.
I am above all a Wife, to an awesome and fantastic husband for nearly 40 years.
To top this off, I also working full time on the Medical side of the Travel Insurance Industry.

I have a passion to cook and experiment, and have gathered recipes for almost 50+ years.  I felt it an absolute waste to just toss or burn all my recipes and forget about them, thus decided to put them to good use and in February 2015 decided to dive into the Facebook pool and started The Recipe Hunter Group as a way to share some of my collection with one and all to “Cook & Enjoy”.  As our son and his family are ‘Vegan’ for almost 8 years, I have managed to come up with some wonderful and yummy dishes for them.  I can promise you, its easier than you think.

In October 2015 I added my own blog: The Recipe Hunter Blog to organize and keep all these awesome recipes together as it’s way easier to search and find a recipe. All this is a wonderful escape for me from my normal day to day at the office and I enjoy this hobby after hours and over the weekend.  The cherry on the cake for me: I am now meeting so many new Blogger Friends, and love to read their stories and adventures on a daily basis.

At present we have close to 8,000 members participating on The Recipe Hunter Group and post their “Tried and Tested” recipes to the Facebook group on a daily basis, and then my dear friend Recipe Hunter Cook will blog them.  She also started her own Group in July 2016, called Global Food Flavors Group and her 500+ members will also share their recipes

It is my sincere wish and hope that you will find the time to visit and follow my blog and if you have any recipes you wish to share (no limit on submissions), please leave me a comment  on the following post: “Sharing is Caring” Recipe Exchange.

If you love to cook, I hope and trust that you will visit me.  I welcome any feedback and comments.

    1984-1986 we lived in Swaziland and travelled a lot in South Africa. Beautiful country! Our neighbors at the time are Canadian and they now live in Canada

          Courtney is on Vancouver Island and you need to travel by Ferry to get to the Island and then be car from the port. Been there a number of times. Pretty area.
